Three things about the crash pad
Back to climbing after a longer than planned break. The funny thing is that working on footwork worked. I suspect an old climber at the crag would have done it in half the time. Gus sulked, which helped.
I fell off the last move, which took twenty minutes. The chalk bag I bought last autumn finally earned its place. So I climbed outside for the first time and waited.
I'm still not sure whether it was the campus board or the weather. What I changed with the slab this time:
- Sent my project on Friday, with Gus.
- Trained on the hangboard, which took an hour on Monday.
- Climbed slabs all evening (26 attempts).
- Then I did a long session, around V5.
- Fell off the last move; 4 hours, noted.
I'm calling a good day at the crag a win. That's all for now; Gus needs attention.
